Default Gears for a Daily Driver/Weekend track car with DR's?

I have a basic bolt-on 2000 ls1 that I daily drive and take to the track on the weekends. I have an ls7 clutch and I'm gonna buy DR's. It's an M6 with a stock 10 bolt. I'm thinking 3.90's because ive read launching with 4.10's can sheer gear teeth, any input?

3.90s will blow up too. You need a rear end. After going through 3 sets of 4.10s and 1 set of 3.90s I finally decided to rip out the 10 bolt at all costs.

My personal opinion, keep the 3.42s until you can afford a better rear diff. There is much less chance of those breaking.

Even with basically stock power levels?
