What oil and how much to use in my moser 12 bolt??

I use 2 qts. valvoline 75-90. Dont forget the additive! Personally I use two bottles of GM additive.

What additive? Whats the part number for it? My dad changed the rear end fluid (80w-90)but didnt put any additive in it. We drove around for maybe 5 miles, do you think it hurt anything?

It's GM posi additive. Get it at the local dealer (about $5). They'll know what you're talking about.

No, you didn't hurt anything. It's just a friciton modifier to make the clutches in the posi slip easier when turning.

my ktre with a TA cover takes 4.5 quarts.

LOL!! What, did you fill it to the top of the housing?!?!? There's NO WAY it should takes 4.5 quarts unless you overfilled it.

Mine takes *barely* over 2 QUARTS.
