Default Changing the gear oil in my 02 Z06

bought the Royal Purple 75W90, I was told I did not need to buy the GM additive that it was already in there, can someone shed some light on this?
I want to change it today while I have access to a buddies lift..

Both Royal Purple and Redline synthetics have a limited slip additive in them already... so you don't need the extra additive if you have one of those two oils.

Thanks Tranzor_Z28,

The guy at the speed shop said it was already in the product-just wanted to be sure.
