Default LS1 Axle in LT1 Housing (Dont flame me)

So i've searched around for a few hours trying to avoid asking this but ive found a slew of differing answers.

Long story short, I bought a new set of LS1 axles to put in my LT1 rear end for $100 before doing research. My question is, will they work on my LT1 rear with all LT1 brake components? Some say yes some say backing plate changes and brake hardware changes and shimming is in order. I'd like to know 100% before I go tearing open my rear in my friends drive way lol

If they wont, I've got a brand new set of LS1 axles w/ bearings and studs for sale, $125

I think they are the same, they are both 28 spline axles. Its no big deal to pop the cover off, and pull the axles out. I know the the housings are the same length.
