Default Rear gear questions

I am thinking of putting new gears in my camaro. It's an '02 m6....I have read and know that 4.10's are best.....my question is which brand is better/stronger? How do I know if I have an auburn locker or all posis auburns? Can I just reuse my factory locker as long as its in good shape? Sorry for all the questions.......thanks in advance!!!!!

an 02(99s'-02s') would have a Torsen 'posi' from the factory,98s' and earlier had Auburn.

I've had good luck with Motives. GM75410 is the part number for the gear you need.

Motives. Great quality for the buck.

since you have a 02,which has a torsen posi,4.10s'(and 4.56s') will require a SLP 'split paddle'(no longer available and rare) or modification/grinding of the existing paddle.
