rear end braces

rear end braces
I know the stock 10-bolt rear is weak and often thought not to be worth trying to make stronger. The commonly purchased rears are 9", 12-bolt, s60 and now the 8.8's are becoming popular.
My question is has any one tried something similar to what the mustang guys do to their 8.8 by adding rear end braces like these

that weld to the axle tube and then bolt to the center section. Would these help strengthen our 10-bolts? Has anybody tried it?

I think that the issues is the internals not a flexing of the housing. Aftermarket covers have bolts that put pressure on bearing caps but not sure how well that works. I'm sure if there a simple solution to stop the 10 bolt from breaking it would have been discovered by now.

The ring and pinion in the 10 bolt is just way too small. Many have ripped the teeth right off of them. Bob
