Default 10 bolt question

I have a roller camaro, I am buying a rearend through strang but they need my backing plates. No big deal but The body shop needs my car in 2 weeks. My question is if I take my backing plates off my rear end and put the axles back in will it still be able to roll. I dont want them pushing the car and an axle come out. I would put the c clip back in.

Thanks

C-clips will hold the axles in as a roller, backing plates are only for the brakes.

the bearing that is pressed in the housing end provides that support.
