4.10s with a stall?
I'm close to having my camaro cammed I'm going to install a torquer 2 113lsa I still don't know what size stall I should get. I do have a set of 4.10 Richmond gears I just need advice I'm wondering if 4.10s and a stall would work well and also if it world still be street friendly.

I ran 4.56s' with a stall for 4 years,3 years with a TCI 2800 then 1 year with a Yank SS3600. I'm currently back with the OEM 3.23s' with the Yank SS3600. The 4.56s' with stall were very street friendly,vicious/wicked 1st & 2nd gear. Damn,I miss those 4.56s',but the complete 4.56 rearend is sitting there crying to be put back in. Overdrive and convertor lockup made freeway OK,2500rpm @ 60mph,3000rpm @ 72mph. I'm currently building a 4.10 rear for this year. 3.73s' with A4 seems to be the consensus, but more and more are going to 4.10s' with A4.
Traction becomes an issue with gearing, big tires, shocks, and suspension helps.

I have 4.10's on both my Trans Am, i think its a perfect gear for 28 inch tire, if you can get it to hook it really launches hard. If you already have the gears just throw em in and be done with it, no point to spend any extra money on a different set especially if its a 10 bolt. Get a girdled cover while your at it. Also what brand and size stall are you planning on going with?

I'd do the 3.90s... they are actually better than the 4.10s in terms of build quality. Martin @ Tick was talking about this a few months ago.
The 4.10s are ideal for maximizing trap speed on an aggressive head/cam combo as they run out of steam around 130mph at the top of 3rd. The 3.90s give you a little more head room but still give you a nice boost around town.
But again, I'd do the 3.90s simply because they are built differently than the 3.73s or 4.10s available and are stronger.
