Swap Carrier - Need to reset Ring and Pinion Gear?
If I swap the ring gear from my current auburn carrier (broken spider gear) to the same auburn carrier (same part number) will I still need to check and reset the Ring and Pinion gear alignment...backlash, etc?

At the bare minimum, you need to check backlash and pattern, swap carriers, then recheck and if it stays basically identical id run it. You need a new crush sleeve or solid pinion spacer and reset bearing preloads. I would probably upshim just a smidge on the carrier if the bearings are high mileage just to tighten things up a touch.

And you very well may get lucky seeing as how you are staying with identical carriers. I went from a TrueTrac posi to a spool and ended up having to reshim. Luckily I was able to just move the carrier over and everything lined back up and it did not require a pinion depth adjustment.
