So i changed rear carrier and gears in my 02 z28 to 342 gears but the carrier had no tone ring and i have abs inop light on. I bought a tuner and even with the updates i still feel the trans pulsing in tc lock up anyone know a fix ? I am thinkin i need the abs tone ring and dont know where to get one.

the 2.73s' would have been on a 2 series carrier,is it safe to assume that the replacement carrier with the 3.42s' was a 3 series carrier OR a 2 series carrier with 'thick' 3.42 gears.

Yes the carrier was thicker so it was a 3 series carrier

The tone ring only effects abs and not TC lockup or any other function. There is no fix other then install one back in the rear end.

Thats what i want to do is add abs back in no traction control. Trans slips in lock up so i think that might fix the tune so abs can talk to speed control in trans

Nope, they are independent systems. They don't "talk". TCS can only release the throttle cable, abs can only deactivate the brakes. ABS has its own module. Neither can make the trans slip.
