Default TA Performance TA-1809 Rear End Girdle Cover - install questions

going to be installing one of these within the next week.

I have a few questions for any who have installed one.
1. on the bearing bolts, is a thread sealer needed? seen some people say they leak, where as others have not.

2. is there a torque sequence for the bolt pattern?

3. a gasket is supplied, is RTV also recommended?

4. I bought 2 quarts of mobile 1 synthetic gear lube (75w-90) and 4 oz of the GM additive. seeing conflicting data with these covers saying you need 3 quarts. can ayone verify?

thanks for any assistance you may have to offer.

1. No sealer on mine, and they do not leak.

2. Couldn't tell ya, but I did mine in a cross sequence like you would a wheel

3. I didn't use RTV, no leaks yet

4. Not sure, I just filled to the regular fill line, the built in fill plug lets you put more in, but that isn't always a good idea

I suggest putting some thread sealer on the bearing bolts. Mine leaked.

I used permatex high temp thread sealer. MFG # 59235. Black RTV ought to work but the permatex is the correct product for the application imo.

I needed some teflon tape on the drain plug to seal a very small leak too.
