Default Need Info On Setting Up 10-bolt Rear

Where can I find information on how to set up a 10 bolt rear in my Trans Am. What are the clearances and torque specifications? I need to replace the pinion bearing in the rear and thinking of doing it at the house instead of paying a mechanic. Would that be the wise thing to do or is it worth the money to pay a mechanic to do it????

Thanks,

TOOLS NEEDED:

Heavy duty impact air gun.
Bearing puller and press.
Fabricate tool to hold driveshaft yoke while torquing pinion nut.
Puller for driveshaft yoke.
Dial gauge and fixture.
Inchpound torque wrench.

www.randysringandpinion.net has good tech how too.

Do research. It can be a bitch the first time but the second time will be easier.
