Question Weird noise coming from rear end

I can hear a real soft winding airy noise coming from the back of my rear end while driiving. Is this normal?

My uncle noticed it and said it might be the bearings in teh axels or the gears not having lube.

Its hard to explain how it sounds but the best way to put it is a winding low airy noise that goes to a higher pitch as I accelerate.

Could be your carrier bearings. Mine were worn and made a low kind of whine until they were replaced.
