2 carrier 3.73's any way will fit??? i have a 3 carrier with 3.42's whatr is the cheapest way to get the 3.73's to fit in my rear end i dont want to buy new gears

This is correct, a 2 series in say a 3.73 would take a much thicker gear than a 3 series carrier. A lot of old dana D60 have a break over at 3.73 too and even the 30 year old GM 10.5 corp 14 bolt has a brake over at 4.56 to a different carrier too. The theory is that with a thicks gear there is a greater chance for the case to flex or distort under load than with a thin one.
