Default Killed Rear End -Wifes not Amused-

well launching my 98 SS M6 at 28-3000 after a (1/8th mile)8.44 and a 8.42 runnin 10psi in my NT555s. the less than 2000 mile richmond ring gear poped. i was FREEKING out.. thinking it was an input shaft on the tranny or something expensive. weird thing is .. it broke on the 1-2 shift not the launch?!?

i take it these are gunna keep breaking? I spoke with an Fbody brethren at the track and he has a decent price on a 12 bolt.. guess i get to dive into that next. this is the 3rd rear end failure since i bought the car in august. 1 stock axle (9-3-04), 1 auburn diff(9-17-04) and now the NEW ring gear that was installed along with new bearings and seals when i shattered the old diff.(10-22-04)... I've got another 4.10 gear set thats very slightly used and in fine condition.. see sales section.

Man...I bet that was one ugly noise when it happened. So, what are you having to buy the wife to calm her down?

My wife cringes by just hearing me say I'm going to the track.

We're too poor to keep fixing ****.

Yes, dilemma.
