Default would you trust this rear?

I got a used Auburn rear 3 series with 3.42 off a 96 WS6, 63K miles and it looks like it's in awesome shape. The only thing i discovered when i got it was that a spring was missing near the spider gears. I have the spring for it now, but I will nto be able to put it on. I'm sure the rear end shop can do that, but will the carrier still be good? RIght now (i guess because the spring's out) the carrier pin bolt thing can't go through because there isnt tension from that missing spring. I'm sure a shop can do whatever to get it straight, but do you think I'd have any problems with it?

BTW I'm doing this swap to remove my 2 series 2.73 rear

Probably will be fine. Have the rearend shop look at the condition of the other components.

Most people say that the Auburn unit is not servicable. So, I am not sure if the shop will put the spring in. Maybe that is only for spider gears though, I am not sure.
