Default TA cover fluid checking technique

What is the proper rear diff. fluid level checking technique with the TA cover. I'm not sure if you use the fill hole in the TA cover for checking the fluid level or still use the factory checking location.

I've drained/filled mine a couple times, used the factory fill hole.

I'm not sure which one to use bc. TA claims the girdle increases fluid capacity by a 1/2 quart.

When I bought my rear it already had a TA cover installed so I used the instructions at http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...id_install.htm
