Default rear end help 10 bolt

ok, i know this is old but i would like some final advice.....

my motor rebuild is almost done and i would like to know if a set of dr'z in the rear is a bad idea? I know the stock is prone to but i curious. well, asking never hurt if the end result is about $2500.

so, wat do you think?
1. stock 10 bolt wth dr'z (nitto'z, toyo RA-1, or BFG)

2. stock 10 bolt with BFG'z KDW'z or kumho ecsta

of course, i plan on getting a harder girdle, and a set of LCA with brackets.

any suggestions?

You'll be fine on Nittos or BFG's, just don't goto ET drag radials without an upgrade. I didn't see if you car is a M6 or A4. A4's are pretty OK on 10 bolts, M6's are hard on them with a high RPM clutch dump.

Broke mine on the 2nd pass with worn out BFG drag radials (255/50 16's). This was with 340-350 rwhp and about a 2500-3000 launch with a Mcleod twin. It was not side stepped as mentioned by some, but was let out quickly with the throttle mashed at the same time.

I'm running 26-8.5x15 ET Drags (slicks) w/my 10 bolt. A4, 3.23's, Vig 3200 and no problems. WJ

Yes, by all means. But just remember, the game of life has NO guarantees.
