Default Need Help

Ok my budy has a wrecked 96 TA and I have a 98 TA. I was wondering if swapping rears is possible? I believe they are the same. but this mechanic is telling me other wise. So i figured i'd come here to the source of knowledge about our cars and find out. So will the 96 rear to 98 swap work?

P.S. i would transplant my axles into the 96 rear

The only difference I can think of at the time is the 96 has the brake calipers mounted different on the backing plate the 98 has the brakes mounted on the backside of the housing and the 96 is one on the front and one mounted on the rear of the backing plates just look threw the wheels and see how they are mounted! Think thats the only differance better also look at if its a 3 or 4 channel setup!

Yeah if the backing plates are the same ya can unbolt the four bolts and rebolt it to the other rear! Is it 3 or 4 channel abs?!
