Default Do GM gears have part numbers on them?

I'm going to be possibly buying some gears from a guy tomorrow who says they're geniune GM 3.73's. So I was wondering if there was a GM stamp or a PN stamp on them to tell if they're real GM gears. I'd just like to know before I go take a look at them.

I've been told: "Some do, some don't." Maybe zoomora will answer this post. His gear knowledge is unsurpassed around here, in my opinion....He will know. WJ

They should have an 8 digit gm number on them. A 3.73 would normally have 26036813, but them numbers vary. It would also have a 41-11 for the tooth counts stamped on it.
