Driveshaft length?

Driveshaft length? A friend of mine was wondering if the '98+V6 driveshaft would work on his '96 Trans Am. He said he wants an aluminum driveshaft but it would be cheaper just to pull it from the V6 car. Is it all the same length as the LS1 drive train, and would everything fit into place on the transmission side?
