Gear question one quick question . Will 4.10 s work with the stock diff. the car originally came with 3.42 s. The reason I'm asking is I went to the shop today and the owner of the shop tried telling me that 4.10s wouldnt work w/ the stock diff.because you wouldnt be able to stick the C clip retainer back in because it wouldnt fit because of the gears being slid over so far due to the smaller pinion. I've seen 2 different sets for sale in JEGS magazine will one of these work???

The cross shaft will have to be ground most likely due to the new ring gear be thicker, so he isnt a complete dumb ***. Probably trying to get you to buy something else, but any diff would most likely have the same problem.
