Is this whine normal? Anything i can do about it? I bought a stock 10 bolt for my car, since im selling it. I put it in and it works fine, but around 50-60 I have a very annoying whining sound, This is what the seller told me about the rearend...
"The carrier is the same thing as a tru-trac posi. They are stronger than the clutch type carrier. Its not the clutch type w/spyder gears. It has heli-cut gears like the tru-trac. Its suppose to be a better unit. It always had a faint whine, guy at Behlman GMC said it was normal. Other than that it always worked fine."
Is there anything i can do about it? I almost want to get a stock Diff just so i can have it silent. I know its a better unit, but the whining may steer people away when i take them for a test drive. I also need to put my back seats back in too, so that may help a little.
