Default 9" ABS problem

I put the 9" in last weekend and have been having a problem with the abs. When I start the car it's fine, but once I start rolling the low track light comes on. Then it will realise it's not working right and shut off abs, and the abs inop light, brake light, and tcs off lights come on. Everything is plugged in, the only thing I can think of is that the air gap between the reluctor ring and the permanent magnet is either to wide or to close. So unless there is a comon problem with this, how can I check the gap?

I just put mine in tonight and I hope I don't have this problem. I will be watching this thread. Good Question. On mine the sensor is very close to the ring.

Hey man, I just drove mine tonight and everthing is cool. The light is off and seems like normal. But I did'nt try to set it off under hard breaking.

Check all the plugs again, to be sure.

do you have extended 1/2" studs? If so, pull out your ABS sensor and check to see that it is not damaged. With my setup, I found that the heads of the wheel studs hit the sensor and caused it to give way wacky readings. I ended up putting a 1/4" spacer between the backing plate and the ABS wheel speed sensor and all the problems went away.

If you are running a different gear that the computer is not calibrated for I think it will cause a problem as well. Taller tires on the rear will affect it too.
