Does Stock SS come with 3.23 gearing?

Does Stock SS come with 3.23 gearing? I've looked all over and I keep getting inconclusive answers 
. I know my Dad's 04 Vette has .273 gearing...it's an A4. I have an 99 M6 SS...does it have .273 or 3.23 gearing? I also know that the Z28's have .273 gearing stock...is the SS different? If so, it would explain why my "practically stock" SS keeps up with my brother's 03 Cobra until 4th gear/100mph, in which he proceeds to beat me like a red-headed step-child. From about 15mph the other night...I stayed at this driver's side door through 3rd gear/95mph...then we let off, also my wife was the in the car with me (extra weight, will not say how much though...for my sake.) Raced from 70 to 120 a couple weeks back and we were dead even in 3rd...he started to pull away as soon as he hit 4th...about 1.5 seconds after I did. Anyhow...thanks for the info!

yea you have 3.42's...3.23's were an option on z28s and standard on ss a4's. I always thought the 03/04 cobras had 390 at the crank...not that it matters cause not many stay stock anyway

ya all m6 cars have 342s and 273s for a4 z28s with option 323s easy way to tell 323 car has alum. driveshaft 273 car is stee.l a4ss came with 323s
03 04 cobras are a little underated for hp they usually wheel almost 390.

How in the world am I keeping up with him then? We've never raced from a dig...only from a role a couple times. We're dead even until 100mph??... He has a Magnaflow Cat-back and K&N...probably more around 400hp at the crank. If they're under-rated, then he's got upper 300's at the wheels. I have very little done to my car...air filter, lid, hypertech...remind you, it is a convertible and a 1999...not as fast as the 01's or 02's. It's not like he's driving it incorrectly...we just punch it and go...fast shifts, etc. I'm
