Default Any reason not to install rear without reprogramming ?

Well, my rear is finished and ready to go, but my software has not arrived yet. Can anyone think of a good reason not to just throw the rear in there and go through the gear break in while I wait for the software ?

Going from 3;42's to 4:30's btw.

TIA !

It should run great, just an incorrect speedometer, and that's all. Also incorrect mileage.
