The reason for no synth is it is too slippery for the posi clutches (or that's what Moser will tell you). I just run Valvoline 85-140 and 2 bottles of addative from GM.

Synthetic will ruin the carbon fiber posi clutches in the Eaton diff., has nothing to do with it being too slippery.

From talking to a tech at Moser he said to go with the recommendation from your gear manufacturer. They say to use non-synthetic because most of their units go out with US Gears in them and that is what they recommend. I opted for the Richmond gear and they recommend synthetic. I went to a local tranny shop and they gave me Synergyn Lubricants Syngear II 80w/140 full synthetic with an additive. It's what they use in their drag cars, and it's worked excellent my first 1000 miles. Just about to change it now after the break-in.
