Default 2.73 to 3.42 Carrier Question?

I have a 98 A4 T/A with 2.73 gears. I'am considering buying a set of used 3.42s from a friend and I was wondering if my factory carrier would work?

No. You will need a 3 series carrier.

Ya just switch out ur 2 series carrier with the 3 series and put the new gear in and tune.
