Default GM 10 bolt

just wanted to know how much fluid goes in axel. I know u fill till it comes out of servicing hole, just want to know how much to buy. 4 qts be enough?

Average OEM recomendations is 2.5 quarts for an stock axle. Most 12bolts, Ford 9 inch, and Dana 60's will be fine with 3.

No, but it may leak out of the vent so keep an eye on that.

My spec book says 1.69 quarts and 4.0 ounces of limited slip additive if you have limited slip.
