stock 10 bold needs new seal!
it drips a little bit and am going to get a new seal. should i just get a new gasket or use something like black rtv silicone?
ive read other posts and it sounds like i should go with royal purple 75-90, and some GM limited slip addative for the gear oil
how much of both will i need?
does all this sound right. 95 Z, stock 10 bolt

If you plan on keeping this car now is perfect time to overhaul the whole thing. You can get a kit at most parts stores with all the bearings, races, seals and silicone etc.. I know Federal-Mogul/BCA Bearings has a complete kit.
I would also recommend a solid pinion spacer instead of the crush sleeve.
You can just replace the seal, but it's not that easy to get the correct pre-load using the original crush sleeve. IF you can't get the pinion bearing pre-load correct the bearings won't live long.
Oh and you're really gonna need air tools...600 ft lbs impact is nice, an inch lb torque wrench, and a "yoke wrench" to hold the yoke, you can use a large pipe wrench instead of the companion flange tool.
It's not that hard, you just need some tools and time.
Edit
Yes, you will need the additive for a 95 model year. I believe some of the synthetic type oils have it in them. Read the bottle.

If it is a 95 then DO NOT use synthetic gear oil It has an Auburn unit and requires regular 80-90 gear oil and 1 bottle of GM friction modifier. And just to be safe it wouldnt hurt to use some Permatex Ultra black RTV.
