I had 4.10's in for a few years and just went to 3.73's last weekend. 4.10's made a big difference, but 1st gear becomes almost useless in stop and go driving. I have yet to fully break my 3.73's in, so I can't tell you the SOTP difference but it doesn't seem like a whole hell of a lot IMO.
It all depends on what the car will be used for.....
if it's a drag car, go with 4.10's....

I had 4.10's put in last weekend and it is like a whole new car. It will freakin' yank your head off when the gas is mashed. I have not done a whole lot to my car yet but this is by far the best one.

Purdue I'm leaning that way also with my setup what kind of hp are you putting down? Keep me updated on how you like those 4;30's. and for the record if 373's and 410's are the only option i'm voting 4'10's

No question, go 4.10s with the M6. In 6th gear, at 80 mph ..... it's at 2,000 rpm. I get 23mpg in my daily driving (if i do NO hot-rodding), which is 100 miles round trip, 90% highway. If I'm screwing around, as I normally do, I get 19-20 MPG, in my daily drive.

I have been thinking of 4:10's but what about breakage with even a smaller ring and pinion..3:73 is damn small already........... are most of you still on factory rear ?

what about us guys who are pretty stock and still want it to be mainly a street car! Also mine is an A4, i was thinkink of putting some 3:73s in cause right now im runnin the 3:23s and figure ill loose alot of daily driving capabilities with 4:10s! now with the 3:73s i would see i pretty good improvement right?
