Might buy rear end, one question
Search function is not working for some reason so here it is.
I might buy a rear end that has 3 channel but I have traction control on my car which I think is a 4 channel. Will this 3 channel rear work in my car? Do I just have to swap over the reluctor ring from my car? I can get this rear for a good price and it's rebuilt, has GM 4.10's and relocation brackets.
Thanks for the help.

4 channel has sensors bolted to the backingplates which run off the dears pressed onto the axles. 3 chennel uses a reluctor ring pressed onto the posi and a magnet in the top of the housing.
If you reuse the 4 chanel axles and backing plates you should be good

Another question, I am not sure how difficult it is to swap axles, could someone briefly explain the process?
Also say I didnt swap over the axles from the 4 channel over to the 3 channel, what would happen if I just stuck that 3 channel under my car? I dont care about no ABS and I dont care about no traction control. Would this be all that is affected?

Axle sawp isnt hard, id reuse the backing plates and axles currently on the car to keep the ABS & TCS. If you just threw the 3-channel in you would have no ABS or TCS and an ABS inop light on your dash.
real quick: Jack the car up. remove the wheels, remove diff cover, pull out the paddle, remove axles, remove backing plates, run a string across the back hatch of the car, tie up the calipers and backing plates so they dont dangle by the brake lines, unbolt, driveshaft, shocks, swaybar, torque arm, Lower control arms, remove axle. Install new one in the reverse order. Once you start doing it its pretty self explainatory.

If you don't swap axles then ASR/ABS won't work and the dash lights will be on.
