all A4 with 4:10's or 3:73's come inside!!!!!!!!
im thinking about 3:73 or 4:10. what im leaning to is the 4:10's unless anyone changes my mind! anyone with expirence with these gears? oh and my street tires are 26" tall. im not worried about gas or high rpm on the highway. i just want this to be a NASTY street car!

I have 3.73's and I have found that they are a good comprimise between noticeale gains and decent gas milage. Also, what is done to the car...in other words, a 4.10 gear is somthing most people would expect to find in a drag car and may be a little overkill in a street car (not to say people don't use a 4.10 on the street, but depending on whats done, it may not be necessary)
Just my 2 cents

4.10s, you won't regret it. i have them, love them. I almost thought about going to 3.73s so i wasn't hitting OD so fast...but decided that i loved the way it pulled, and will just compromise with a large cam and springs that can handle more rpms to extend 3rd at the track
1st ends at 30
2nd at 65
3rd at 110
50 is 2000 rpms
60 is 2300
70 is 2700
80 is 3000 rpms
(as comparison in a 6speed with 4.30s)
1st ends at 35
2nd ends at 55
(didn't get 3rd)
but 70 is only 2000 rpms with this setup

I would go 3.73's as our first gear is already a 3.06, ( 11.41:1 overall first gear ). We already have a granny first gear, 4.11's would be OTP. If your car is a hippo, like mine, 3.73's will be just fine. If you have a Scarsdale car, 3.23's or 42's might be better.
