Default Gear Oil for a 98'

I allready tried the search and didn't really get any solid answers. i wan't to know what is the best gear oil to use in my 98'. Synthetic or Dino and what weight to run. The stock 10 bolt has a lot of miles on it, and whines a little between 55-65 MPH.

I tried synthetic in my 98, but lost my LSD becuase of it (acted like an open diff)...went back to dino & it started to work again....my T56 didn't like synthetic either...98s are kinda weird years...F-Bodys at least
