Default ford 9" question

when i get my 9" will i be able to use my stock driveshaft or will i need to get a custom made one. also will the lca relocation brackets that fit my ten bolt work on the 9".

well you should be good on the drive shaft, i just put mine in a few weeks ago, form moser and stock DS fits fine. but as for the relacation brackets, i think they will not fit, BMRs RBs they have 2 types bolt on (for 10 bolts) and weld on ( any other 12 bolt/9") i had my RBs welded on to they 9" housing. hope this helps?

Drive shaft question's been answered.

I had BMR bolt-on brackets and was able to modify them for use on the 9 inch. Wasn't too difficult.

the stock 10 bolt has a smaller axel tube then the 9" or 12 bolt or s60

The stock drive shaft will fit but actually it is either a little too short or long I don't remember which. The point is that the stock driveshaft is inherently weak, and now with a strong rear it is even a weaker link. There are pictures on this site that show the damage done when a driveshaft lets go. I went with a Dennys Nitrous good for like 2,000hp with a lifetime guarantee against breakage. There are other good ones out there too. Spend the extra money for piece of mind.
