Default Need help with my new Eaton!!!!

I have just recently put an eaton posi unit in my 99 trans am and when i tried to put my abs ring on it, it wouldn't fit. I even tried to heat it to 500 degrees for about an hour and it still didn't fit. Does anybody know if i'm supposed to change it or should it just fit right on.

It is supposed to be a very very tight fit. What I do is get a couple sets of vise grips. I put the reluctor wheel down and snap it on, held in place on one side by the grips. Then I make my way around snapping the vise grips on every inch or so, and 'leapfrogging' them until the ring is seated all the way around.

yeah i tried that without any heat and i busted my original ring so i went to gm and got the replacement one and i know its the right one but i've heard that the eaton may be a little bigger and the abs ring won't fit is this possible
