Strange 3.42 gears for 2 series carrier I'm thinking about swapping out my gears. I now most of you say motives are the quietest but I havent seen any for 2 series carriers. what do you think about the Strange gears? Do you think they will be noisey?

Kool, These 2.73's are driving me crazy. It takes soooooo long to get into the power band 
I dont do any drag racing. I just want more passing power and the accasional stop light to stop light action. Thanks for the quick reply

I just installed Strange 3.42's for 2 series carrier in my car. They are a little noisy, but that may be due to imperfect setup since I did it myself. Most people leave .008" backlash, but I set mine at .010" since the gears instructions stated the range as .008 to .012. The noise isn't that bad. My girlfriend didn't even notice it until I pointed it out to her.

Thanks for the good info. Ill make sure I let the installer know (.008 back lash). I'm glad to hear some success stories. I didnt want to spend another 500 for a dif if I didnt have to.
