Default 3.42's with medium cam and mods

Anyone using 3.42's on there heavily modded car?? I have TR236/230 and it doesnt make good power till about 2400 rpms +. My stock gears absolutely suck for my car from a takeoff... I'm getting 4.10's. Just wondering if anybody still uses them...

Yes I just went from the TH400(car had it when I bought it) back to the 6 speed. You got to give it more clutch with these gears and it likes to fall on its face when you step on it unless the rpm's are high then it screams. I cant wait to get the 4.10's in, it should be better for all around driving too.

I have a TR224 on a 112 LSA and all the bolt ons, and to me the car feels sluggish too until around 3000 rpm when the music starts playing. That's why I have 4.10 on order as we speak, can't wait to see what she feels like with the new gears.

227/231 here with 3:42's. Tuned with a near perfect VE and MAF via wideband, the car drives perfectly fine with the gears. I can even drive at 30mph in 6th. I'm sure with gears it would be more fun but for tooling around it's fine.
