Default Tried search but no luck.

Can anyone give me an idea of how hard it is to break a 10bolt on the dyno trying to tune? 3rd gear pulls. Th400 with a big stall. Low Cr 408 with a big turbo.

Let me guess, you granaded it.....

As for the dyno, it depends on what kind I dont think a dyno would do it but I wouldnt be suprised a Mustang or Superflow did it, they put a load on the car, it does stress the car.

I am making a wild guess, on a nother note, you got alot of work done running on a tooth pick rear....

You'd be more likely to break it on the street/track than the dyno. On the dyno you're already moving as you make the pull, so it's less shock to the rear. Not saying it can't happen, but less likely than the street/track.

Yeah I am actually shooting for 800rwhp. Rear end is next on my list. It will be a mustang dyno. Not broken yet. I think it should be able to handle it. Being a 1:1 gear ratio in 3rd shouldnt it be about the same amount of force a stock car would put on the rear end in first? 1st gear being 3:1 or whatever it is.

It's really the launching that does the most damage...so since you're already rolling on the dyno it should be ok....
