4.10 gears top end question

Default 4.10 gears top end question

does 4.10 take away from your top end and if so where would the car top out at... and another question, if i put heads and cam would it do the 150 or better....

With 4.10s mine will still hit about 170mph in 5th gear at 6700 rpm (where my shift-lite is set) I think that's plenty fast enough

depends on your tranny....an a4 will get nowhere near 170....you'd be lucky to do 120....with my 3.73s now i top out between 130-140

It takes away from your top end.

are you a M6 or A4?

Also, if you get a cam that revs higher, you will still have a decently high top speed, as the 2nd person already mentioned.

I have 4.10's and have no problem running 150mph plus if i need to. It all depends on the mods you have. Also if you plan to run top end you might want to increase your rev limiter.
