Default Scary Dana S60 Install

I installed my Dana S60 rear end this weekend and it was so easy it was scary. Everything lined up and there were no issues whatsoever. How can that be?

They don't leak. They mark their territory.

They shouldnt leak... if they were assembled correctly.

A DANA60 doesnt leak because its a DANA60... it leaks because it was assembled with poor quality seals or poor quality assembly technique's. Just as it would be with any differential.

my S60 bolted right up as well, no leaks either, opted not to use the paper gasket but scuffed the surface and used liberal RTV. works just fine

I am all for Made In The USA, but I would be willing to bet that it isn't an actual Dana rear that has been modified, but a new casting(which is why it is called a S60). I wouldn't be surprised if it was actually cast overseas, but the axle tubes and such are assembled here.
Anybody with any inside info?

I wouldn't be surprised as well. There are very weird rules as to what you can claim as made in the USA.....

S60 hear! Install went perfect with no problems. However it does do a little dripping from the rear cover. Nothing RTV won't fix!

If they cast those overseas then that Sucks...

Anyhow, I am really happy with the way everything went together. I have not run it yet (still have to install my 243 heads, Fast 90/90, Kooks headers and finish the stage 5 tranny)

Here is something that is bugging me. Do I need or should I have adjustable LCA's and Adj Pan hard. Everything went together good now I have to see if it lines up... What do you think

Dana's are definately strong. I love the one that's in my 'Cuda. If I upgrade my SS, that would be the rear that I would choose.
