auto trans fluid I am going to change the filter and trans fluid in my 98 Z28, how many quarts of trans fluid do I need? any suggestions on which brand of fluid?

Re: auto trans fluid You will need anywhere from 12-16 quarts or to be safe, 4gals. Amsoil is a good brand. I just bought 4gals of ATF fuid for a full flush, and I don't even want to admit what I paid for the fluid.

Re: auto trans fluid I think for just the filter change out and what fluid is in the pan the manual calls for 5 quarts.
I have used Mobil 1 ATF with good results before.
