4.10 gears in m6
Well so far i have seen most of the topic of gears on a4 cars. Im just wanting to know what kind of 1/8th mile et reductions you guys get from going from 3.42's to 4.10's on and m6. Im just bought a new t/a and i just installed a mti clear lid and i want to do gears. Im looking for the best et reduction. Any better ideas.

I love my 4.10's for 1/8 mile. I've picked up .2 tenths all around. If you enjoy ripping up the street and an occasional roll race also they are death to stock geared cam only cars because you are at such a good rpm to run at. My problem is I can't finish the damn 1/4 mile with them and my 275/40/17 dr's. I run out of gear about 10 feet before the traps and it has to costing me a .1. I'm not about to slam into 5th gear overdrive because I know the trans don't to be slammed into that gear because they are designed to wear 5th and 6th aren't even with the mainshaft and you can tell that gear feels weaker. I'm gonna throw in some 3.73's or 3.90's so I can get the better of both worlds. Basically though if you want a bad *** 1/8 mile setup in an m6 4.10's are perfect. Unless you have a cam though or a tall tire you won't like them in the 1/4 mile. JMHO though maybe some guys are having better luck with them. I'm trapping 112-114mph and they just don't last until the traps for me though.
