Default ABS inop light remedied

Rather than unsolder the LED lamp from the instrument cluster, I painted it high-temp black using a brush. I also stuffed some electrical tape between the lamp and the lense. Worked effectively, can't see teh light at all. Just an FYI....

Two pieces of electrical tape on the back side of the gauge overlay is all that is required

Fair enough. I just wanted to be doubley sure that I didn't put it back together and still see the light. (That gage cluster is a PITA tight fit.)

Oh, I hear ya...I stuffed foam down in the hole as well just to make sure. It is definitely a PITA, especially if you have to take the needles off.

I did some searching here and found a thread where someone said to jump terminal 7 and 12 together at the pump and it will close the loop and keep the light off. Might want to search before trying b/c I might have the wrong pins?

Sub, I think that only works on the 98 fbodies and maybe the 97-98 Vettes.

a 40-50 ish ohm resistor in line works as well. doesnt have to be specific, just whatever you can find.
