Are you getting the diff complete with brakes, or are you going to re-use your original LT1 brakes?
The rears will swap back and forth, but you have to swap the backing plates for the correct ones (just use your originals). Also, double check the length of the axles. I can't confirm 100%, but I think the LS1 axles may be something like ~1/8" longer than LT1's or something, so it can cause rotor/caliper alignment issues. If that's the case, you'd also have to run your original axles .
But at least you don't have to setup the gears inside!
Oh, and do you know if it's the same ABS / TCS setup that you currently have? (ie: 3-channel or 4-channel) ... that's important too .
