Default 9 in rear transfer?

Will a 9 in ford transfer from a 2nd gen z to a 4th? Any help please

No it won't. The 2nd gen used leaf springs where the 3rd and 4th gens use coil springs and a torque arm. Bob

well what will be best and easiest install a 9 or a 12? And will a 12 be strong enough?

Well your not goona get outta this cheap. Thats all there is to it. NO older rear will be a direct swap. You have to go aftermarket. The 9" is stronger then the 12-bolt & both cost about the same.
