3.90s? Will it work
I think i have 3.08s in the rear... I have a 01 z28 that i bought at 45,000 im pretty sure nothing was done to it before i bought it... There is a yellow pen writing on the rear end that say 308 so i guessing thats what is in the rear it feels slower off the line than my T/A with 3.73 so thats why i think 3.08.. Will 3.90 work or will i have to by something different.

Whether 3.90 ratio will work or not depends on the exact ratio in the differential. The carrier break is 3.08/3.23 and they do not make a thick 3.90 gear to fit the 2 series case. So,unless you have a 3.23 & up ratio you will have tochange the carrier.

Ok then im guessing i have 2.73 because my t/a would get sideways off the line... this Z will barley break it loose.. so if i have the 2.73 the highest i could go without switching the carrier would be like a 3.73?
