Default Rebuilt Rear End

I had the rear end in my 02 M6 rebuilt this past Friday. What is the break in pattern or suggestion for proper operation?

What was replaced? Gear? Bearings? If you just had the bearigns replaced then really there is not break in. If a new gear was installed then drive it around town for 5-10 miles under 55mph and let it cool completely, do that 2-3 times then put an easy 100-150 miles on it.

The entire rear was rebuilt/replaced due to the yoke being broke off and leaving the guts on the street to include to passenger side axle.

Ah, I see then you would want to drive it easy for 5-10 miles then let it cool. Drive it again just like before and then maybe drive it to work a few times to put on some good easy road miles.

The Speed shop instructed me to drive not more than 60 mph; or 60 miles in any one trip; allow to cool at least one hour between drives and no power snatches or revs above 3000 rpm for a full tank of gas.

Just wanted to get confirmation of this. They seem to have a bit of overkill in the break in. But it is for the better.

Thanks.
