TPMS Sensor Calibration
RNB-974-009 TPMS SENSOR TRANSMITTER
So I purchased a new set of rims and tires and had them installed with the above sensors. They are Dorman (same ones used by GMHTP) sensors and, according to the application matrix, will work with my application (2011 Camaro SS).
They in fact do work....... on occasion.
I have programmed them 5 or 6 separate times now and after a day or an hour or a week, connectivity between the sensors and the ECU gets lost. At that point the TPMS light comes on and I have to reprogram.
I am following the procedure and the sensors are getting programmed...... so I don't believe that I am screwing up the procedure. Hmmmm.
The only thing I can think of is that they are a different frequency.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
******* Looks like a frequency issue. The frequency on the 2011 and later Camaro is 314.9 instead of 315*******
Because it is so close is why it works only part of the time. Dorman is sending me new sensors. Kudos to them.
