Yes, I am bitching about the price, the weight, and the fuel-economy. And, will buy one hopefully under invoice a few yrs. I am kind of like that.
The FBod Father however asked for input on the new Camaro and Octane Z/28 gives unto us his assurances that the powers that be will hear us. So vote away and bitch about things you don't like. It is not like we are in the now-defunct Soviet Union and have to drive the same brown station-wagon as everyone else because there are no other choices.
I also complained about the looks of the 4th gen...still bought one, best bang for the buck at the time.

I'm very disappointed that they are not kicking off this car with some sort of hugger orange color. That metallic hugger they used on the convertible concept would have been suitable. Even the orange on the new SRT8 Challenger kicks ***.
Instead, we get a metallic red pseudo-orange from the Solstice. Not even close

You guys don't like the Inferno Orange they're offering on it? Man, I guess I'm on the other side of the boat here--I like the subtlety of the new orange. I don't think a nearly neon orange is very befitting a modern sports coupe. Personal taste, though. I'm not a big fan of HO on our fourthgens, but it looks sick on my friend's 67.

Sparky, that is NOT the orange being used. The convertible concept had a metallic hugger orange, but it is not going to make production for the first year. I've attached pics of the actual color, it is used on the 2008 Solstice and is called "Inferno Brazen Orange". It is a cool color, but not the orange we expected to see. Yes, it really does look this red in person:
Here is a pic of the convertible I took during Power Tour:

I'm not convinced that Pontiac's Inferno Brazen Orange is the same color as Chevy's Inferno Orange Metallic. I realize we're splitting hairs on the name here, but I'm seeing some differences. I guess it depends on who you ask and how good of a photographer they are:
IBO (in sunlight)
IOM (in studio)
IOM (with shitty lighting)
If anything, I think Chevy's IOM looks more rust than red...which I like
And just for good measure, here's my fat *** in front of the vert concept

GM stated that the Solstice color was the same as the Camaro color. They even had an orange Solstice at the Indy Bash to show the color in person. Yes, it looks different indoors vs sunlight, but I saw a Solstice in person (in sunlight) this week when driving home and it definitely looks red like the pics I posted above. I own quite a few orange cars, I know a real orange when I see it.
